A week ago today I was blessed to be part of a training/brainstorming session in Charleston, SC (in connection with the Heartbeat Conference) which was led by Pat Layton, the author of
Surrendering the Secret. It is always so affirming to see how God works....and this day was no different! From the individuals attending the session, to the stories and ideas that were shared, to the encouragement offered, it was evident that God had a hand in it all.
I had been laboring under the burden of reaching the great numbers of women locally who could be set free by this Bible study to the point where I was really struggling. God knew what I needed....a reminder that this is all in His timing and IS a part of His plan. Something Pat shared with us that rang so true is that....
- This ministry is much harder than we ever expected;
- This ministry takes much longer than we ever expected;
- It costs us much more than we ever expected;
- The reward is so much greater than we ever expected.
I can attest to all four! Pray with me in the days ahead that God will direct as we seek the direction(s) in which He wants us to go.....it is only through and in Him that this ministry will begin to reach the hurting hearts of women who have an abortion in their past.
